Founded by Huy and Thao in 2018, Sidewalk Street Food brings the Nguyen family's Saigon street food recipes to 2924 Domingo Avenue in Berkeley. The previous WordPress website spread menu items across slow templates with copy-pasted descriptions. The rebuilt Next.js static site organizes all 26 menu items across five categories with verified pricing, gluten-free callouts, UC Berkeley and Elmwood neighborhood guides, DoorDash ordering, and dedicated catering and contact workflows.

Preserve every legacy URL and verify every fact.
All 329 legacy WordPress URLs map cleanly via deterministic redirects, while build-time fact resolution ensures hours, phone numbers, addresses and prices stay identical across every page and schema.

Lighthouse 13.0.1 and Chrome 151 from the same pinned Sitespeed 42.6.0-plus1 image on Eggbox. Fresh Chrome processes, standard simulated mobile and desktop presets, 2 CPUs and 4 GiB memory. Three interleaved samples per version and device. Medians and ranges are retained.
- These are lab results for the exact pages and dates tested, not field Core Web Vitals, restaurant foot traffic or DoorDash order volume.
- Preview indexing protection (X-Robots-Tag: noindex) is intentional on ssf.bcio.dev; production serves canonical indexable headers on sidewalkstreetfood.com.
- Mobile total blocking time changed from 0 ms to 108 ms (range 69.5-144.5 ms) and desktop cumulative layout shift from 0.0022 to 0.0092; both remain well within good thresholds and are retained in full.
